Integration of new tech is a challenge; an opportunity too
In a series of forecasts focusing on trends in enterprise knowledge management support and collaboration, Gartner, Inc. predicts that the greatest challenges and opportunities for companies during the next four years will be integrating new technologies with maturing ones.
E-Learning
:: By end of 2009, 60% of core business processes and software will include an e-learning component
:: By 2008, 80% of e-learning content will include some form of simulation
The cost and time associated with in-person training will force companies to look at alternatives. Many companies will integrate e-learning solutions with business applications and manage the training as part of a management dashboard. They also will include more simulation-based training as they re-evaluate and re-engineer their training programs.
