NETg e-learning business sold to rival

Two years after acquiring Phoenix-based KnowledgeNet Inc., Thomson Corp. is selling the e-learning business to rival SkillSoft plc for $285 million. Thomson announced that it would sell the unit, now named Thomson NETg, to SkillSoft. It also plans to sell other parts of its Thomson Learning division.
