Online Learning instructors see digital divide

The Digital Campus (DC) at Fresno State is designed to enrich courses by offering an online aspect to every course that uses Blackboard or other online resources, officials said. Former DC director Lynda Harding says that Fresno State is ahead of the national curve in regards to online learning according to the 2008 Sloan-APLU national survey about Online Learning. "Our campus was above average in the number of online courses developed and taught by faculty, and substantially higher than average in faculty ratings of support for online teaching and learning", Harding said.
