W całym kraju ruszą wkrótce internetowe kursy edukacyjne dla mieszkańców wsi. Konkurs na realizację tego projektu wygrała szkoła z Zielonej Góry. Chodzi o ogólnopolski projekt "Centra kształcenia na odległość na wsiach" finansowany przez Unię Europejską. Jego celem jest stworzenie edukacyjnych ośrodków na prowincji.
Oprócz zielonogórskiej szkoły w skład konsorcjum, które wygrało konkurs, wejdą także dwie firmy: specjalizująca się w e-learningu 4 System z Zielonej Góry i konsultingowa Ecorys z Warszawy oraz Fundacja Pomocy Matematykom i Informatykom Niepełnosprawnym Ruchowo z Warszawy.

In the fall of 2006, students could purchase an entry-level notebook with a 15-inch LCD for $500. This price crossed an important threshold, moving notebooks into the range of consumer electronics—the category of phenomena that fuels mass consumer trends such as cell phones, digital cameras, and iPods.
